Amazing wildlife sanctuaries in India

India is rich in having its own natural beauties including that of greeneries, dense forests, streams, rivers, sea and, ocean. Normally, the tourists plan to spend their leisure time to breathe unpolluted air and trek through less crowded areas.  For that, they can choose any one or more of the wildlife sanctuaries in India to have a worth time spending to see pleasant sceneries, species, etc., and thus feel relaxed.

Silent Valley National Park

Silent Valley National Park is located alongside Nilgiri hills, Mannarkkad, Palakkad district, Kerala 678 582.  The park is in existence since the year 1980.

The park has flora and fauna of rare categories, lion-tailed macaque, etc.

Visiting hours are limited from 8 AM to 1 PM.  December to April are the ideal months to visit this place.

 

Sundarbans National Park

It is a mangrove forest having large coastal belts of Hugli and Meghna rivers and is shared both by India and Bangladesh.  Located in West Bengal at Dayapur, Gosaba, South 24 Parganas district, West Bengal 743 370.  This park came into existence during the year 1984.

Sundarbans National Park is the home to the Royal Bengal Tigers and other endangered species like the salt-water crocodile, Ganges River Dolphin, etc.

September to March are the ideal months to visit this place.

 

Nanda Devi National Park / Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve

It is a world heritage site recognized by UNESCO.  Its profusely surrounded aesthetics have fewer similarities around the world.  This park is in existence since the year 1988.

The air is filled in with the fragrance that anyone would like that to be felt throughout the life.

May to October are the ideal months to visit this place.

 

Ranthambore National Park

This park was the home of tigers, leopards, marsh crocodiles, etc.  This place has the tag from 10th Century AD.  Located at Sawai Madhopur district, Rajasthan – 322 001.  This park came into existence during the year 1980.

Mainly the park is meant for tiger and leopard resort and rehabilitation center.

October to April are the ideal months to visit this place.

 

Kaziranga National Park

Kaziranga National Park is in the floodplains of river Brahmaputra.  Located at Kanchanjuri, Assam – 784 177.  This park came into existence during the year 1908.

The area is the home of tigers, elephants and one-horned rhinoceroses of Indian origin.

November to January are the ideal months to visit this place.

 

Kappukadu Elephant Rehabilitation Center

This center is on the brinks of Neyyar Dam in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.  Located at Kappukadu, Thiruvananthapuram district, Kerala – 695 574.  This park is part of the Neyyar Wildlife Sanctuary, since the year 1958.

The area is the home of elephants, crocodiles, deer, etc.

Within the vicinity of some kilometers, another wildlife sanctuary namely Peppara is also available.

This place can be visited throughout the year.


Kanha National Park / Kanha Tiger Reserve

This center is in district Mandla, Madhya Pradesh – 481 768.  This park is in existence since the year 1933.

The area is the home of tigers, jackals, wild pigs, etc.

Mid October to June end is the ideal period to visit this place.

 

Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary

Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over Chikkamagaluru and Shivamogga districts, Karnataka – 577 115.  This park is in existence since the year 1951.

The area is the home of a wide range of flora and fauna, day outings, etc.

This place can be visited throughout the year.

 

Periyar National Park / Periyar Tiger Reserve

It is on the brinks of Periyar Lake that is famous for boating, swimming, etc.  Maybe, the similarities of “Silent Valley National Park” features can be visible here, but then that is a coincidence.  Located in Pattanamthitta district, Kerala – 685 603.  This park came into existence during the year 1982.

September to April are the ideal months to visit this place.

 

Deer Park

Deer Park is an altogether different concept, is in the metropolitan city that is coincidently the capital of India too.  As of today, the Deer Park is an exception to the conventional thinking/imagination related to pollution-free environment, wildlife inhabitants, etc., etc.

In fact, the place is in existence for centuries and ignored because of many reasons related to political-socio-economic reasons.

This place can be visited throughout the year.
